Und wieder ist eine Weihnachtskarte im Stil meiner ersten entstanden. Gezeichnet als Gesamtbild mit einer rechten, geschwungenen Sternenborte, danach zerschnitten und versetzt auf eine goldfarbene, hochglänzende Blankokarte geklebt, lebt dieser Engel von dem Zusammenspiel der Graustufen und dem sparsam eingesetzten Rot, das mit dem Gold der Karte harmoniert. Für mich ist diese Karte mein ganz persönlicher Favorit, seit ich Karten in diesem Musterstil gestalte.

Simone – I should come to your blog more often to tell you how much I appreciate your sharing with us! I am sorry that I fall short in that regard. Your designs are so intricate and so masterfully used. I tend to make small, more dense patterns on my tiles and ZIAs but they do not yet have the innate artistic sensibility of balance, both of design and colour weight that you instinctively include in your work.
I am hoping by dint of hard work, and studying the Zentangle „masters“ I will learn some of those skills that do not come to me either instinctively or from prior exposure to art instruction – I was one of those people told very early on that „You are not an artist“. Now at 62 I am fighting to slough off that cloak and proudly proclaim my artistic Zentangles!! Indeed, I have signed up for CZT training (very scared!) in a personal effort to acknowledge my own skills and love of this art form.
